What we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
What we collect
When you book a consultation or create an account we collect your name, email, phone number, and the details you share about your event — date, guest count, budget range, and vision notes. When you use the Event Vision studio or the concierge chat, we process the text you type in order to generate a response. We also record basic, first-party usage events (page views, bookings started and completed) with no third-party trackers, cookies-for-ads, or cross-site anything.
How we use it
Your information is used to plan and deliver your event, to prepare for your consultation, and to contact you about your own bookings. Event Vision and concierge text is sent to our AI providers solely to generate your concept or answer, and is not used to build advertising profiles.
What we never do
We never sell your data. We never share your guest lists, budgets, or event details with anyone outside the vendors actively working your event, and then only what they need. We don't run third-party ad trackers on this site.
Security & retention
Passwords are stored only as salted PBKDF2 hashes. Sessions are HttpOnly, secure cookies. Data lives on servers we control and is retained while your account is active; email us and we'll delete your account and its data within 30 days.
Your choices
You can browse the site, use Event Vision, and chat with the concierge without an account. To access, correct, or delete anything we hold about you, write to hello@thegatheringco.events or call (303) 555-0211.
